How do I work?

I am qualified as a counsellor having initially trained with Nottingham University within the Person Centred approach before gaining an MSc in Counselling at Bristol University using an Integrated approach. My research covered dyslexia, shame and psychological healing. Both models incorporate a humanistic way of counselling, recognising human capabilities such as creativity, personal choice and growth.

For further information on different kinds of models please go to: www.itsgoodtotalk.org.uk/what-is-therapy/types-of-therapy

I have also trained with Cruse (Bereavement Care) and worked with them over many years. I’m a member of the BACP British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists www.bacp.co.uk and I am governed by their code of ethics www.bacp.co.uk/ethical_framework/ which includes regular supervision to ensure a high standard of practice.
